Here is some important information on the symposium:
- Location:
- Naval Medical Center Portsmouth
620 John Paul Jones Cir 275
Portsmouth, VA 23708 - The conference will be held in the Auditorium in Building 3 (tallest building) on the 2nd floor.
This is close to the mini NEX and the NFCU ATM.
Signs should be posted and the Quarterdeck will be notified.
- Uniform of the Day:
- Seasonal uniform change is the morning of the 16th, so plan for Khakis or NWUs.
- For planning purposes, Rear Admiral Moulton will be speaking to us on Friday, 16 October 2015 so this would be a great day for a group picture, Khakis recommended.
- Parking:
- Parking is very congested if you have never been to NMCP.
- Please utilize the top decks of the parking garage instead of the lower decks, which are reserved for patients and families.
- Gate traffic:
- Gate traffic is a real concern.
- Please have your military ID's ready for all members of your vehicles. FPCON is BRAVO. For those without military ID's, please work through event organizer if we have not already received and submitted your approved access information to the NMCP security office.
- Photos:
- Pictures will be taken at the symposium by NAPA officials and we will upload these to the NAPA website, Milsuite, and the Facebook page.
- Lunch:
- Unfortunately, food will not be provided.
- Lunch times will be very short (30 min) to allow for maximum learning. Please feel free to utilize the food vendors adjacent to the auditorium during this time to facilitate this mission.
- There will be a small coffee mess provided.
- Sign in Roster:
- All registrants who wish to obtain CME must sign in DAILY to obtain all 19 credits.
- Please write legibly as the roster will need to be transcribed into an electronic copy for submission to AAPA
