The Naval Association of Physician Assistants is pleased to announce the dates for the NAPA East Symposium.
The 2017 NAPA East Symposium will be held October 6-8, 2017 at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the grounds of the White House complex. (Venue information here)
This 2017 Symposium is significant as it will be held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the PA profession. It will be utilized as a mechanism to provide opportunities for continuing medical education - including up to 15 CME hours, networking, and advocacy. Note this is not a political event and is not endorsed in any way by the White House.
To minimize the effect upon access to care for patients, this symposium has been planned to start on Friday the 6th, at 9am, and end by mid-day Sunday the 8th. We hope that those PAs within driving distance to Washington, D.C. will find the symposium planning team has attempted to ease the burden of travel for the symposium. Due to the location of the event, registration will be capped at 75 personnel on a first come first served basis, open to all federal service affiliated physician assistants, and will close on Sunday 17 September.
Registration for the symposium will be $50.00 for NAPA Members and $75.00 for Non-NAPA members. The fee will help to cover costs associated with CME administration and refreshments. Due to the location, personnel who leave before the completion of the days’ events will not be permitted to re-enter the White House grounds. Food and beverages for the event are included in your cost of registration and will consist of (light snacks in the morning and afternoon, lunch sandwiches, coffee, soda, and bottled water).

On Saturday October 7th the dress code will be Service Dress Uniform for Military personnel and Business Attire for Civilian personnel. On Friday and Sunday October 6th and 8th dress will be business casual attire for all attendees.
